- AD LAUNCH: Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) is launching a $1 million ad campaign, obtained exclusively by the Washington Reporter, opposing legislation that would codify the “Most Favored Nation” drug price controls. “This is the latest in our longstanding work against price controls,” the conservative organization noted. “Just last week, ATR and more than 50 conservative groups and activists released a letter opposing the price control codification.” The ATR ad focuses on U.S. competition with China, and argues that free markets are necessary to beat China. - CRUZ’IN IN RWANDA: Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) addressed the first ever Kigali Security Summit by video, telling attendees that Africa is “vital to our national interests.” The conference was a trilateral between America, Israel, and Rwanda. Part of America’s strategy in Africa “should include our Israeli allies, which are central to Africa’s integration and success,” Cruz added. Sen. Jacky Rosen (D., Nev.) and Robert O’Brien also addressed the conference via video.
