One of the leading crypto super PACs is closing the election cycle by spending one million dollars in support of Republican senators and challengers across the country.
Leading the Future will start spending in support of Sens. Shelley Moore Capito (R., W.Va.) and Bill Hagerty (R., Tenn.), as well as Rep. Andy Barr (R., Ky.) in his Senate campaign and Kurt Alme in his bid to succeed Sen. Steve Daines (R., Mont.). Leading the Future’s plans were obtained exclusively by the Washington Reporter.
“Our continued investment in Senate races reflects our commitment to building the strongest possible bench to help advance a national framework for AI,” Zac Moffatt, a co-strategist, for Leading the Future, told the Reporter.
Moffatt explained that the spending is necessary because “the next Congress will play a critical role in shaping that discussion and promoting policies that strengthen America’s global competitiveness and protect workers, families, and communities. We believe these leaders can help contribute to that effort and ensure America remains at the forefront of AI development.”
Leading the Future’s ads will include streaming, digital, and texting; the super PAC already has a track record of success in the 2026 cycle; the Reporter previously covered Leading the Future’s ad buys in South Carolina’s Republican Senate primary.
At the time, Moffatt told the Reporter why it backed Graham. “Darline Graham understands that America’s leadership in AI is essential to our economic and national security,” he said. “She knows we can embrace innovation, create new economic opportunities, and strengthen America’s competitive edge while putting commonsense protections in place for children, families, and communities. That approach is exactly what we need in Congress, and Leading the Future is proud to support her campaign.”
