Back in 2016, now-Rep. Brian Jack (R., Ga.) and Kamran Daravi were working together on President Donald Trump’s campaign. Now, Jack is one of the GOP’s rising stars in Congress, and Daravi just started a new job at Thorn Run Partners.

Jack, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled to see his old colleague land a new gig. “Kamran Daravi is a smart, respected, and effective advocate for America First priorities,” he said of the news. “We worked together from President Trump’s 2016 campaign to the White House, at which Kamran’s successful implementation of President Trump’s record-breaking agenda earned well-deserved, widespread praise.”

Chris Lamond, a founding partner of Thorn Run Partners, is eager to bring Daravi on. “Kamran brings an exceptional combination of White House experience, policy expertise, and executive branch relationships to our firm at a pivotal moment in Washington,” Lamond said. “Having advised senior leaders across multiple agencies and worked directly on some of the most consequential issues facing the administration, he understands how decisions are made and how stakeholders can effectively engage with government. We are thrilled to welcome him to Thorn Run and know he will be an immediate asset to our clients.”

For his part, Daravi added that “Thorn Run has built one of Washington’s most respected advocacy firms, and I look forward to partnering with a team that delivers results for clients in such a time as this.” He added that it is his “privilege to bring the Trump administration’s policy priorities to meet the private sector where they are — we must engage effectively with policymakers to advance initiatives that support innovation, economic growth, and America’s long-term success.”

In his new role, Daravi will advise clients navigating the intersection of government, policy, and business strategy, with a particular focus on executive branch engagement, emerging technologies, national security, healthcare innovation, infrastructure, global and regulatory affairs. He’ll lean on years that he’s spent in the Trump White House and at multiple federal agencies.

Jack isn’t Daravi’s only former colleague who think he’s more than cut out for his new role. Joe Grogan, who worked as the Director of the Domestic Policy Council, under Trump, said that “Kamran distinguished himself as a loyal and savvy operator who took time to figure out the relevant people and leverage points needed to move a policy from A to Z.”
