Today, Vice President JD Vance will visit a machining facility in Plover, Wisconsin — a fitting place to celebrate the resurgence of American manufacturing and our great economic comeback under President Trump’s leadership.

Here in the Badger State, manufacturing isn’t just an industry. It’s a way of life. It’s the backbone of our communities, the source of good-paying jobs, and a proud tradition passed down through generations of skilled workers.

Vice President Vance’s visit comes on the heels of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, which made clear that America is back on track after years of economic hardship. And nowhere is that comeback more evident than right here in Wisconsin.

For too long, working families in our state struggled under rising costs and stagnant wages. Gas prices soared to nearly $5 per gallon, putting pressure on family budgets and small businesses alike. Today, thanks to President Trump’s pro-growth, America First policies, gas prices in Wisconsin have fallen by more than $2 per gallon from those highs — providing real relief to commuters, farmers, and manufacturers who rely on affordable energy to do their jobs.

But that’s just the beginning.

Republicans delivered the largest tax cuts in American history through the Working Families Tax Cuts, putting more money in the pockets of hardworking Wisconsinites. The average family of four in our state will see up to $10,100 more in take-home pay. Seniors are benefiting from a new $6,000 tax deduction, and we eliminated the death tax that has long threatened family farms and small businesses across rural Wisconsin.

We also secured more than $500 million for rural healthcare and $1 billion for BadgerCare, ensuring our communities have access to the care they deserve.

These policies are delivering meaningful results. Inflation is falling. Mortgage rates are declining. Jobs are booming as companies invest trillions of dollars back into the United States. And new initiatives like Trump Accounts are helping families invest in their children’s future, with the potential to grow into significant savings by the time those children reach adulthood.

This is how we rebuild the American Dream — by empowering workers, supporting businesses, and unleashing American innovation.

Manufacturing facilities like the one Vice President Vance is visiting in Plover represent the best of Wisconsin. They are powered by skilled workers who take pride in their craft and know that what they produce matters for our nation’s economic strength and security. When we invest in American manufacturing, we strengthen our supply chains, create jobs at home, and ensure America remains the most competitive nation in the world.

President Trump and Vice President Vance understand that strong communities start with strong economies. They are committed to lowering costs, cutting taxes, securing our border, and restoring accountability in Washington. Their leadership is delivering results for Wisconsin families, farmers, veterans, and small business owners.

I am proud to work alongside this administration to advance policies that put Wisconsin first. Together, we are creating opportunity, restoring prosperity, and ensuring that the next generation can build a better future right here in the Badger State.

The State of our Union is strong. Wisconsin’s manufacturing sector is thriving. And with continued leadership focused on American workers, our best days are still ahead.
