Macklemore is not an artist whose music I have ever knowingly heard.
Therefore, I would not be qualified to comment on his talents, or lack thereof. I don’t know the genre in which he plays; rock, blues, soft rock, medium soft rock, light in the loafers rock, rap, white rap, soft rap, white soft fluffy rap? Is he a tattoo artist? I do not pretend to know.
So, in my ignorance of Mackerel and his supposed music talent or lack of it, it seems the only decent thing to do is say, “I’m not sure. What do I know? It’s not my bag. Is this some Vanilla Ice redo? If so, who would want to see that? Not me!” Sorry Vanilla.
It boggles the mind why anyone would opine on something that he is ultimately completely ignorant about? My opinion on this musical “artist” would be and should be dismissed as nonsense. If I have no knowledge, then at best, I would be merely regurgitating what others say and think. All of which should be equally ignored out of hand.
It is in the same “vane” that I believe Mackleless’s opinions about Israel should be treated. I have never read an op-ed from him. I have never had the displeasure of listening to a three hour marijuana-infused conversation with Macklewhore and Joe Rogan.
So my thoughts and conjecture on him are equally ignorant. But unlike Mackledoofuss, I admit this upfront.
I am confident that Macklemess doesn’t know that on Oct 7th 2023, armed Hamas terrorists broke into a music festival and slaughtered unarmed young girls and young boys, killing them at point blank range.
These same monsters proceeded to mass rape and murder these girls and every single person of Jewish heritage they encountered.
Peaceful Kibbutzim were invaded next and the slaughtering, murdering and mass raping continued — even killing infants, burning some alive.
None of this is in dispute. It is a confirmed and documented fact. As is the 250 Israeli hostages who were taken, raped, murdered, beaten and starved and held as human shields and negotiation bait.
Even innocent toddlers were taken and hid in dingy tunnels where many of these hostages died a frightening and agonizing death. Animals sent to the slaughterhouse are treated more humanely than these despicable thugs treated these innocent human beings.
How did this generation of young people in the West, who have never known war or duty, expect the Israelis to react?
I know how my country, the United States of America would react.
If you take the same percentage of the Israeli population that was brutally murdered — 1,700 — and then do the same percentage in America, that would equal over 30,000 American citizens.
If Canadians crossed over the border into Michigan and butchered, savagely murdered and raped 30,000 American young girls and boys, burned babies and took thousand of hostages including toddlers, Toronto would be leveled in 48 hours.
Leveled.
There would be nothing left of that city. And we would invade and conquer the rest of Canada over the next few months.
I’m pretty confident that Smacklemore didn’t do the same equation that I just did.
But Mack doesn’t have to. Because for years, the Left has declared open season on Israel, and on Jews in general.
In the media and on university campuses and even now in the Democratic Party, Jews are outcasts. An elected Michigan Democrat, who is Jewish, feared that she would not be safe attending her party’s own convention. Jewish college and even high school students are harassed, threatened and bullied on campus. Police in New York City must now stand guard outside Jewish grammar schools to protect young Jewish children from harm.
These Jews, who worldwide number only around 15 million, are now somehow seen as the bullies of the world — a world in which there are 2 billion Muslims.
That’s 2 billion.
It’s likely that Macklemore’s generation also doesn’t know that the people who call themselves Palestinians, living in Gaza and the West Bank were offered, multiple times, a peaceful two-state-solution — including during President Bill Clinton’s administration — and turned it down coldly. Every single time.
Or that Hamas was given billions of dollars in aid and instead of turning Gaza into a garden, they dug miles of tunnels, their leaders stole billions and ran off with the money, all while starving their own people and firing over 37,000 rockets haphazardly into Israel since Israel ceded its control.
Mackelmoreorless probably has never had rockets fired on him from schools or hospitals. But if he had, the return fire that killed the human shields would surely be the fault of those loathsome creatures hiding behind them.
Just as I am sure MackandCheese doesn’t know that if Israel really wanted a genocide in Gaza, they could have accomplished it in two hours.
In two hours.
Instead, Israel provided food, water, medicine, and gave constant warnings before bombing civilian areas where Hamas terrorists hid.
Israeli soldiers painstakingly did more to prevent the killing of non-combatant civilians than any army has in the history of modern warfare.
Speaking for me, it is no coincidence that just as the last child survivors of the Holocaust are perishing (this is truly the last generation to witness the most shameful actual genocide in human history), the ugliness of anti-Semitism has reared its loathsome horns.
Among those murdered on October 7 were Holocaust survivors — that is information that someone should tell Macklemore as well.
Maybe someone should also tell Macklemore that Hamas’s charter is to kill every last Israeli man, woman, and child — and all Jews everywhere. Hamas is a culture of death. Hamas teaches their young children to hate Jews and that by killing Jews and dying, it makes them martyrs in heaven.
It is my sincere hope that someday Macklemore visits Israel. If he ever does, he would find that Israel is the exact opposite.
Israel is a culture of life. Israelis love life and celebrate it to the fullest degree possible. Every Israeli knows how precious life is. And every Israeli knows that he and she must risk their lives defending it.
It is this duty that every Israeli knows and lives with. Because Macklemore might not know what each Israeli knows: The nation of Israel is worth defending and risking their life for.
Israel is the only democratic country in the entirety of the Middle East. A place where over one million Arabs live in peace with Israeli Jews. A place where every woman and girl is free to go to school, work, drive, speak freely, date, marry, divorce, wear her hair any way she wishes, and not have to cover her face and body in Middle Ages draconian body covering, be subjected to female genital mutilation or child marriage for the mere crime of being born a biological female.
Perhaps it’s true that Macklemore is ignorant of these things. But ignorance can be corrected with knowledge.
Far worse are those who know these facts about Israel and feign the ignorance of Macklemore…
