“NEVER TAKING LYFT AGAIN”: Uber took D.C. by storm a few hours before America’s 250th birthday, bringing Grammy Award-winning country music star Keith Urban in for a concert at the National Portrait Gallery. Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi kicked off a rousing concert. One attendee, while ordering her Uber home, told the Washington Reporter, that she is “never taking Lyft again.” Urban entertained the audience by repeatedly conversing with them from stage, at one point going off on a riff about how Hannah Eddins is from Alabama — and she should not be confused with Hannah Montana. Among those in attendance were Grace Newton, Alexa Henning, Hannah Eddins, Marisela Ramirez, Lorenzo Riboni, Edgar Barrios, Hunter Lovell, Jeff Naft, Chris Russo, Jenna Cooper, Hannah Levins, Nick Hawatmeh, Garrett Puckett, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, VA Secretary Doug Collins, CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, Chris Klomp, Seval Oz, Jill Hazelbaker Franks, Reps. Jason Smith (R., Mo.), Kevin Kiley (I., Calif.), Bob Onder (R., Mo.), Rachel Holt, Alex Flemister, Jimmy Sapp, Javier Correoso, Spencer Silverman, Kristin Sharp, Julie Sweet and Chad Sweet, Rene Haas, Alberto Martinez, Katelyn Bledsoe, Arun Gupta, Brittany Punaro, Josh Dawsey, Marisa Schultz, Ted Johnson, Dan Meyers, James Van Den Berg, Kaily Grabemann, Sumi Somaskanda, Aaron Lukas, Liz Claman, Rick Klein, Christine Brennan, Colin Moneymaker, Steve Clemons, and Matt Gorman. Several of the aforementioned attendees became the first people in history to see Urban and Flo Rida perform in immediate succession. The latter took over the Mall as part of Freedom 250’s celebrations.
