TRUMP CARD: President Donald Trump and Sen. Jim Banks (R., Ind.) were big winners in Indiana’s primaries last night. The GOP duo pushed to primary state lawmakers who blocked mid-decade redistricting, and they defeated almost all of them.

AMGEN AMBITION: Amgen announced additional U.S. investments, bringing its total to more than $2 billion over the past year. Amgen has previously announced $900 million in Ohio and $600 million in California, along with more than $1.5 billion in North Carolina. The new jobs and capital underscore how Republicans’ Working Families Tax Cut is driving companies to invest and build in the United States.

SENATE MAJORITY PAC VS. REALITY: FactCheck.org noted that a recent ad from the Sen. Chuck Schumer-aligned (D., N.Y.) that targets Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine) doesn’t align with reality. “Neither claim fully explains Collins’ more nuanced position on those issues,” FactCheck.org’s D’Angelo Gore wrote.

LILLY INVESTMENTS: Eli Lilly and Company announced that it is committing another $4.5 billion across Indiana manufacturing sites. The Indiana-based company also will open its first dedicated genetic medicine facility. The company’s capital commitments to expand manufacturing in Indiana total $21 billion since 2020. Lilly CEO David Ricks previously spoke with the Washington Reporter about how his company is embracing Trump’s Golden Age policies.

ACTBLUE DRAMA: As Rep. Bryan Steil (R., Wis.) continues his investigation into ActBlue, the watchdog Americans for Public Trust (APT) laid out some of its problems: “Since Regina Wallace-Jones became CEO in 2023, ActBlue has reportedly spent at least $2.8 million on security and $4.9 million on flights, hotels, and travel. The group also shelled out approximately $700,000 on a retreat in San Francisco in February of 2025.”

SERGIO AND SUNITA: Sergio Gor, the Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, visited Nepal, after which locally elected officials told the Washington Reporter that Gor made quite an impression. During his trip, he met with Rastriya Swatantra Party chairman Rabi Lamichhane, Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, and Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle. Sunita Dangol, the Acting Mayor of Kathmandu, told the Reporter that Gor “expressed a genuine interest in supporting this effort and helping facilitate the return of more heritage.” As part of his trip, Gor attended a ceremony marking the return of the statue of the Akshobhya Buddha from the United States at Nhu: Chhen Baha in Kathmandu.

AIPAC WINS: 22 candidates endorsed by the pro-Israel giant AIPAC won primaries last night.
