A special edition
The Washington Reporter has launched Off the Hill Leaders, a recurring feature spotlighting former Capitol Hill staffers who now hold senior roles in advocacy and public affairs.
Each profile will examine the leader’s trajectory from the Hill to the private sector and the policy work they are focused on today, as well as practical advice they offer to current Hill aides.
Off the Hill Leaders will include an interview between the featured executive and the Reporter team and will cover pressing policy issues.
The series will give Congressional and administration staff a window into how policy experience can prepare them for private sector leadership roles.

It forces app stores to dismantle safety tools, creating vulnerabilities and exposing users to cyberattacks. It also allows a flood of obscene content and breaks parental controls on app approvals.

“The Washington Reporter exists to give both valuable reporting coverage and insights to Hill staff and administration officials that they cannot get anywhere else,” Brian Colas, CEO of the Reporter, explained of the new initiative.
“Off the Hill Leaders will showcase executives from the best firms, multi-client offices, and trade associations, and serve as a roadmap to our thousands of Congressional staff readers who want to better understand how they can prepare today for their next role,” he said.
Matthew Foldi, the editor in chief of the Washington Reporter, added that he has “interviewed people from a wide variety of backgrounds, and it’s clear to me that everyone has valuable insight to offer to current Hill and Trump administration staffers. Every day, I work closely with members of Congress, Hill and administration staff, and industry, and we want to be a valuable tool for the staffers who read us. Off the Hill Leaders will allow us to do just that.”
“I can’t wait to get started,” Foldi added.
“This will be a great opportunity for Hill staff to learn from some of the top leaders in Washington D.C.” added founding investor Garrett Ventry.
