Who is Gov. Tim Walz? Having both served with him in Congress and lived in Minnesota under Walz’s tenure as governor, I can tell you he’s a left-wing radical who embodies the same disastrous economic, open-borders, and soft-on-crime policies that Vice President Kamala Harris has inflicted on our country for the last four years. But don’t take my word for it. One look at Walz’s record tells Americans everything they need to know.

On the economy, Walz has been a fervent supporter of the Harris-Biden administration’s reckless spending policies that led to record-breaking inflation on the backs of hardworking Minnesotans. He endorsed their so-called Inflation Reduction Act and American Rescue Plan, which even Obama-era economist Larry Summers warned would “set off inflationary pressures of a kind we have not seen in a generation.” Now, the average Minnesota household has been forced to spend $30,427 more due to inflation since January 2021, with the average household paying nearly $1,200 more per month to purchase the same basket of goods and services.

Walz’s economic decisions on the homefront haven’t been much better. He allowed the far-left Minnesota legislature to pass an additional $8 billion in new taxes and fees after they blew through $17.5 billion in surplus. In his first budget as governor, Walz proposed increasing the gas tax by 70 percent, which would have resulted in Minnesota having the fourth-highest gas tax in the country.

On immigration, Walz – like his running mate – prioritizes illegal immigrants over hardworking Minnesotans. Walz signed several bills into law as governor to provide free college, taxpayer-funded health care, and driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. He has expressed support for turning Minnesota into a sanctuary state. More recently, he went on national television saying he’d invest in a “ladder factory” to defeat President Donald Trump’s border wall. It’s no wonder an Al-Shabaab terrorist illegally crossed our southern border and made his way to Minneapolis. Walz has turned Minnesota into a magnet for illegal immigrants while leaving innocent civilians to bear the consequences.

Walz has also turned our state into a safe haven for criminals with his soft-on-crime agenda. On Walz’s watch, the number of murders in Minnesota has gone up by 73 percent, the number of aggravated assaults has increased by 49 percent, and the number of motor vehicle thefts has gone up by 55 percent. The last time he and Kamala Harris teamed up, Walz withheld the National Guard as rioters burned Minneapolis to the ground while Harris promoted a bail fund to get them out of jail.

His disastrous record on the economy and public safety is matched by his failed leadership during the pandemic that led to the largest COVID-19 fraud scheme in the country, his radical policies that made Minnesota a “trans refuge state,” and terrorist-sympathizer Ilhan Omar celebrating his nomination for vice president.

The bottom line is: Tim Walz has worked hard to turn Minnesota into Kamala Harris’ home state of California, and if the Harris-Walz ticket is elected to the White House in November, that’s exactly what they will do to the entire country.

By choosing Tim Walz as her running mate, Kamala Harris has doubled down on her radical agenda and put America on a path toward four more years of chaos. Contrary to the headlines in the mainstream media, a “folksy demeanor” only goes so far. Actions speak louder than words. And as we’ve learned from Tim Walz and Kamala Harris’s records, their priorities are appeasing the radical wing of their party and putting hardworking Americans last.
