INTERVIEW: President Trump explains how acquiring Greenland is in America’s core security interest — and he’s not phased by Europe’s complaints

President Donald Trump is preparing to head to Europe, and he told the Washington Reporter in his latest interview that his latest post on Truth Social remains his viewpoint when it comes to his desire to “ACQUIRE” Greenland.

“We have subsidized Denmark, and all of the Countries of the European Union, and others, for many years by not charging them Tariffs, or any other forms of remuneration,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Now, after Centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back — World Peace is at stake! China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it. They currently have two dogsleds as protection, one added recently. Only the United States of America, under PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, can play in this game, and very successfully, at that!”

During the Reporter’s interview with the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Trump asked if the Reporter had seen the aforementioned Truth post; in the wake of his stated desires to take Greenland, several European countries sent “three or four people there each” to protect the giant island.

Trump, for his part, did not suggest in the interview that he was prepared to come to blows with the sparse number of troops that countries like Norway and Germany are sending to the sprawling island. Norway announced plans to send two defense personnel; Germany’s contingent of 13 military personnel vastly dwarfs the Norwegian contingent.
