Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.) traveled to eleven states in the month of October, his team told the Washington Reporter, to help incumbent Sens. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), Pete Ricketts (R., Neb.), Deb Fischer (R., Neb.), Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.), and challengers Sam Brown in Nevada, Pennsylvania for Dave McCormick, and Kari Lake in Arizona.
Barrasso was an early backer of Lake’s candidacy — he was the first member of the Senate GOP’s leadership to endorse her during her primary, which she told the Reporter she remains thankful for.
“Senator Barrasso has been with me from the very beginning,” Lake said. “His initial support helped usher in more and more senate support and I couldn’t be more honored to call him a friend.”
Barrasso’s events have included post-debate spin rooms, bus tours, rallies, small business visits, and roundtables. He has participated in in-state events and fundraisers in Washington, D.C. for every Senate GOP hopeful, his team said.
Barrasso is running unopposed, and with President Donald Trump’s support, to be the Senate GOP’s Whip.
