Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) spent October recess working to expand the House GOP’s majority, according to his extensive campaign schedule and donation records, shared exclusively with the Washington Reporter.
Issa has done campaign events, hosted fundraisers, or dispatched volunteers to campaign for 48 House Republican candidates, including endangered incumbents such as California’s Ken Calvert, Arizona’s David Schweikert Juan Ciscomani, and top challengers, like Virginia’s Derrick Anderson and California’s Scott Baugh.
The California Republican has been a sought-after surrogate by Republicans in deep red districts like the one held by Rep. Nick Langworthy (R., N.Y.), and in swing districts, like that of Rep. Tom Kean (R., N.J.).
