GM EXPANSION: General Motors announced plans to invest a combined $830 million to strengthen three key propulsion sites across its U.S. manufacturing footprint. GM’s latest move brings its investments in domestic manufacturing to over $6 billion in just the past year. “By investing in these plants, we’re investing in our people and the communities they call home,” GM senior vice president of global manufacturing Mike Trevorrow said.
MAJOR DISCOVERY: Interior Secretary Doug Burgum noted that the U.S. Geological Survey “found that the Appalachian region of the U.S. contains enough lithium to replace 328 years of imports!” President Donald Trump, Burgum noted, “has reclaimed America’s mineral independence.”
