ENDORSEMENT ROLL OUT: The pro-AI super PAC Leading the Future announced its first round of 2026 endorsements. The PAC, which is backed by over $100 million from industry leaders at Andreessen Horowitz and OpenAI, is endorsing House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R., Minn.) and Reps. Russell Fry (R., S.C.), Brandon Gill (R., Texas), Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chair August Pfluger (R., Texas), Rich McCormick (R., Ga.), John Joyce (R., Pa.), Jay Obernolte (R., Calif.), Rudy Yakym (R., Ind.), Brian Jack (R., Ga.), Riley Moore (R., W.Va.), Mike Haridopolos (R., Fla), and Guy Reschenthaler (R., Pa.)
BAD MOVE: Sen. Tom Cotton’s (R., Ark.) Democratic opponent, Hallie Shoffner, confirmed that she voted for Kamala Harris for president. President Donald Trump trounced Harris by over 30 points in 2024; expect Cotton to make an issue of this vote during his race that he is expected to win easily.
INTEL COMMITTEE ON DNI: Rep. Claudia Tenney (R., N.Y.), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, thanked Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard for her latest declassification effort. “Democrats built the 2019 impeachment on hearsay, bias, and no direct evidence,” Tenney said. “It’s time to expunge this sham from the record.”
TRANSPARENCY PUSH: Reps. Stephanie Bice (R., Okla.) and Josh Brecheen (R., Okla.) introduced legislation that would require transparency from any Member of Congress who used Treasury payments for personal legal settlements. Reps. Barry Moore (R., Ala.), Buddy Carter (R., Ga.), Michael Cloud (R., Texas), and Paul Gosar (R., Ariz.) joined as co-sponsors.
CONGRATULATIONS: Rep. Jay Obernolte (R., Calif.) was elected as the House GOP’s next Republican Policy Committee (RPC) Chairman, succeeding Rep. Kevin Hern (R., Okla.), who gave up the job to run for Senate.
